Text a Mobile Device Using Email

Texting a cell phone (SMS/MMS) using email. You will need to know your receipient's cell carrier.

AT&T:
SMS / Text - 10digitphonenumber@txt.att.net
MMS (picture/video msg) - 10digitphonenumber@mms.att.net

Verizon:
1. Compose a new email and use the recipient’s mobile phone number as the email address, with the addition of “@vtext.com” at the end.
2. For example, if the phone number is 555-123-4567, type “5551234567@vtext.com.”
3. Make sure you keep your message under 140 characters. (Remove your email signature before sending, if you use one.)
4. Once you’re finished, hit send.

Sprint:
You can send it from your email by addressing it to phonenumber@messaging.sprintpcs.com

TMobile:
Compose a new email.
Enter the recipient's T-Mobile phone number -- without punctuation -- followed by "@tmomail.net" in the "To" field. ...
Compose an email up to 160 characters in length and click "Send."
